Leslie Patton Morris

Leslie Patton Morris passed away on June 30, 2020, from cancer. Leslie was born on May 10, 1959, in Houston, TX. She graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in 1977. Leslie and Rodney met in 1993 and they married November 2, 2000. Leslie loved sharing family traditions and celebrating birthdays and holidays with family and friends. She also loved cats and dogs; Leslie would keep food in her car to feed stray animals.

Leslie was preceded in death by her parents, Forrest and Nelle Patton, her grandparents, aunts, uncles, and friends.

Leslie will be deeply missed by her loving husband, Rodney. Her children and their spouses: Jennifer and Brent Davenport, Melissa and David Tippit, Ricky and Michaela Ingram, and Tyler Morris. Grandchildren: Kyle and Kaylie Walton, Collin Tippit, Samantha and RJ Ingram, James Rejack, Margaret, Adam, Ian, Donovan, and David Searfoorce. She will also be missed by her sister and brother-in-law, Kay and Chuck Lambert, sister Gail Blanpied and brother Col. Forrest Patton. Nieces: Jami Gerngross and Cathi Hernandez. Nephew: Chuck Lambert. Great Nieces: Trina and Eliana Gerngross. Great Nephews: Asher Gerngross, Lucas and Max Hernandez. Mother-in-Law Jacque Morris along with many sisters and brothers-in-law, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and many friends that she treasured.

Leslie's Celebration of Life will be held at Forest Park East Funeral Home, 21620 Gulf Freeway Webster, TX 77598 on July 11th at 2 pm. Memorial donations in honor of Leslie can be made to K-9 Angels Rescue www.k-9angelsrescue.org.
