He was married to Darlene Townley Walters for 56 years. Larry was the owner and founder of Atlantis Plastics Co. for 40 years. He was a member of the SPE Plastic Society. He was a member of the Museum of Fine Arts-Houston, the Museum of Natural Science and the Houston Zoo. He was on the Board of Directors of the HLS&R and the 1894 Grand Opera House-Galveston, and he had a passion for Fishing, Hunting, Golf and Travel.
He was preceded in death by his parents Charles Walters Jr and Daisy Ethel Jewell Walters; brother Jerry Wayne Walters and sister Willis Jean Matney.
He is survived by his wife Darlene; daughters Victoria Lynn and her husband Stephen Wagner, Trenda Elizabeth Walters and her husband Kenneth Weade; brother Perry Allen Walters and grandchildren Nicholas Johannes Wagner and Sarah Corinn Wagner.
A visitation for Larry will be held Sunday, December 11, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Forest Park East Funeral Home, 21620 Gulf Freeway, Webster, Texas 77598. A funeral service will occur Monday, December 12, 2022 at 11:00 AM, 21620 Gulf Freeway, Webster, Texas 77598. A graveside service will occur Monday, December 12, 2022 at 12:00 PM, 21620 Gulf Freeway, Webster, Texas 77598.
Serving as pallbearers are Stephan Wagner, Nicholas Wagner, Ken Weade, Randy Goshorn, Richard Marburger and Tommy Hernandez .
