Filippo LoCoco

Filippo was an entrepreneur and baker. He delighted in sharing a taste of Italy with the Clear Lake area after opening Luigi & Filippo's Colosseum Italian Restaurant & Bakery with his brother-in-law in 1965.

Filippo loved to garden, watch soccer, and fish. His most cherished accomplishment in life was his family. Over 67 years of marriage, Filippo watched his children, nephews, grandchildren, and great grandchildren grow. He enjoyed Sunday afternoons where his family would come together for lunch. He enjoyed his best laughs as the family delighted in food and the kids ran around the house playing. Despite the noise of a full house, Filippo took the best naps on Sunday afternoons because his house was filled with love.

Filippo is preceded in death by his parents Francesco and Giovanna; his siblings Ingnazio, Angela, and Giovanni.

Filippo is survived by his wife Maria; Brother in-law Luigi (Magali); Children Frank, Peter (Victoria), Giovanna (Mike), Grandchildren: Olivia (Kyle), Catherine (John), Lilla; and his great grandchildren Parker and Owen.

Visitation will be from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Sunday, February 19, 2023 at Forest Park East Funeral Home & Cemetery.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, February 20,2023 at Forest Park East Funeral Home & Cemetery with burial to follow.

Memorials may be given to the National Kidney Foundation in lieu of flowers.
