Elizabeth “Liz” Gould, 101, of Houston passed away February 7, 2019. She was born in Sale City, Gerogia on September 19, 1917 to Robert and Clara Johnson. She was married to Dee L. Gould, Sr. for 46 years.
Liz had a career in teaching for about 10 years; prior to that she worked as a legal secretary. She was a member of Longpoint Baptist Church in Spring Branch. Liz loved taking her family camping; traveling all over, even to Alaska! She was an oil painter and writer, being a longtime member of Houston Scribblers. She had a love for art!
Liz was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband Dee L. Gould, Sr.; brother Robert W. Johnson; sister Dorothy South; niece Jo Catherine Hynes; and nephew Robert Franklin Jones.
She is survived by her son Dee L. Gould, II (Sally); daughters Mary Elizabeth Brymm (Bruno) and Rosemary Ann Quinley (Ken); sister Carolyn Hynes; grandchildren Rhonda Steedman, Guy Olive, Mae Lin Gould, and David Lawrence Gould; great-grandchildren Heather Steedman, Jenna Steedman, Violet Gould, and David Gould; nieces Candace Ann Weiss and Mary Ann South; and nephews Ronald Johnson, Wayne Johnson, and Frances “Butch” South.
