She was born in Oceanside, California on July 19, 1952 to Lois Marcella Secor and Nolan Lee O’Quain. Diane obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Texas Women’s University in 1974, where she became a registered nurse. She lived a life for Jesus as a missionary in Guam before settling down in Houston to marry the love of her life, Robert (Tony) Anthony Utter Thompson in 1978 and became a mother to Jennifer Renee. Tony and Diane welcomed 3 beautiful girls in 1978, 1980 and 1984. She was married to Tony for 14 years before his death in 1992.
Diane enjoyed every second with her grandchildren. She could be found cheering them on at various sports activities or opposite one of them around a chess board. When she was not with her grandchildren, Diane could be found at church, in prayer with friends, or in devotion with her Bible. Diane loved the Lord Jesus Christ with every breath. Her unwavering faith and self-giving nature were a shining beacon on a hill and an example to not just her immediate family, but to all who met her.
Visitation will be held at Forest Park East Funeral Home on Friday, March 12th from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Her ‘Celebration of Life’ ceremony is scheduled for 11:00am on Saturday, March 13th at the Clear Lake Church of the Nazarene in Webster, TX. A graveside ceremony will follow at Forest Park East Cemetery. Reverend Don Ballard will officiate. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to the Diane O’Quain Thompson Remembrance Fund for her grandchildren, https://everloved.com/life-of/diane-thompson/
