Cliff grew up in Moberly, Missouri and graduated from the University of Missouri with a degree in chemical engineering. He moved to Houston, Texas and accepted a position with Shell Oil Company. While in Houston, Cliff met and married the love of his life, Daisy Brown. Next, Cliff served in the Air Force where he flew bombers, jet aircraft, and various other planes. He was stationed in Puerto Rico where his first son was born and where he enjoyed diving for lobsters, swimming in the Caribbean Sea, and riding his motor scooter. After his military service, he moved back to Houston and started his long, successful career with Shell Oil Company working in Houston, New York City, and Los Angeles. Cliff and Daisy had two sons and two daughters. Daisy lost her battle with cancer and passed away at the early age of 50 years old. Cliff met another great love and married the second love of his life, Lea Brown. Lea had two sons, and all six children merged together beautifully as one loving family. Cliff considered himself a very lucky man to have found, received, and given so much love.
Cliff was a beloved man and an extraordinary person. His kindness, integrity, strength of character, and generosity touched the lives of many. Throughout his life, Cliff found immense joy in the company of his family and friends, engaging in activities that brought him great happiness. He loved world travel and ballroom dancing. He enjoyed helping others as a mentor and friend, and improved the lives of everyone around him. His absence will be deeply felt by those who knew him.
Cliff was preceded in death by his first wife Daisy, second wife Lea, parents, brother, and one son. He is survived by his three sons, two daughters, six grandchildren, one great grandchild, a girlfriend, and many extended family members and friends.
In honoring Cliff's life, let us remember his vibrant spirit, his unwavering love for his family, and the joy he brought to those around him. May his memory forever live on in our hearts.
