Billie Sue Baker

Sue Baker passed away peacefully in her sleep and at her home in Alvin with family by her side. Born Billie Sue Bennett, Sue moved as a teenager from Sabine County in East Texas to League City with her mother, Frances. She graduated from League City High School, and was employed for 42 years at the National Association of Conversation Districts (NACD) in League City. Sue is survived by her husband, Dr. Richard L. Baker, and her son, Larry E. Wilkinson and his wife, Phyliss.

Sue had many extended family members in the Baker family and the Wilkinson family…who respected and loved her very much, including 10 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. Sue’s family would like to thank her dear friend, Kathy Stuck, for the friendship, love and support she gave till the very end, Dr. Baker’s sister, Pat Walton and her husband Curtis of Crosby, who provided timely support and comfort, and Dr. Baker’s granddaughter, Leslie Ivie of Corsicana, for her unwavering, unselfish love and dedication.

The family will receive friends on Monday, August 22, 2016 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at Forest Park East Funeral Home, 21620 Gulf Freeway, Webster, TX 77598. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at 10:00am in the Chapel of Forest Park East Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Forest Park East Cemetery.
