Benjamin Castillo was born at St. Joseph's Hospital in Houston, Texas on August 3rd, 1954 to Olga and Jesus Castillo, who have preceded him in death. Benjamin had a career in Drafting in Design Engineering for National Oilwell Varco.
Benjamin was one of Jehovah's Witnesses and he was a friend to everyone he met. One of his proudest moments was participating in helping draft blueprints for the Rosenberg Assembly Hall as well as several Kingdom Halls. He also had the privilege of serving as a Ministerial Servant at Wayside Spanish Congregation at one point in his life and he remembered that time fondly.
Benjamin was a devoted father who created many beautiful memories for his family. He delighted in participating and planning the Landa Family Reunions, while also remaining close with the Castillo Family. He was especially fond of his kindhearted aunts, who generously went to great lengths to look after him.
Benjamin absolutely loved to travel and everyone knew it! Many loving friends often included "Ben", as they referred to him, on their own excursions knowing that he was always up for a fun time.
Benjamin is survived by daughters: Nadia Castillo-Lock (Eric) and Ana Lilia Lerma, grandchildren: Ashley Lerma and Tyger Tamez. Sister: Gloria Santos (Jesus) and many aunts, uncles, cousins and other spiritual sons and daughters.
We hold hope for the future resurrection and we anxiously await to see Benjamin in a paradise earth under the Kingdom of God.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at 2:00 pm at Forest Park East Funeral Home, 21620 Gulf Freeway, Webster, Texas 77598. Services to follow at 3:00 pm. Interment at Forest Park East Cemetery.
