Born in 1940, he grew up as a boy always knowing he wanted to build and design things. He worked for Boeing and helped build the life support systems during the space launch to put the first man on the moon. He studied life sciences and was an engineer, and wrote papers on water quality for the space station that still get cited today. He was intelligent and loved science and had an extremely brilliant mind. He was an amazing cook and told me learned to cook from his mother in law after his sons were born.
He was married to Penelope Linton for 57 years. He always said he remembered exactly how she looked on their wedding day coming down the aisle. He loved her dearly and deeply.
He was a father, and was incredibly proud of his two sons Shay Linton and Mike Linton. He was a father in law to Heather Linton. He was also a grandfather to Jackson and Wren Linton who he adored.
He was also a brother to Elaine Rizzuto who he loved, and an uncle to Laurie Pittman and her family.
He was a resilient man, and over the last twenty four years survived 4 different kinds of cancer and all of the challenges that came along with so many different health struggles. He never complained and always took his numerous surgeries in stride. He is a true example of internal strength and a strong will that I will never forget.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.ForestParkEast-FHC.com for the Linton family.
