He was born in Oceanside, California on August 18, 1998. He was raised in Houston and was a 2016 graduate of Goose Creek Memorial. As a kid, he was outgoing and known for making others laugh. His sense of humor made it easy for him to make friends. He loved to cook indoors and BBQ outside. He loved to play video games, listen to music, and hang out with his friends and loved ones.
Tony loved helping others and always put others before himself. Hours after Hurricane Harvey hit, he and some friends went out to volunteer their time to help those in need. Tony was also very goal oriented and had aspirations of attending culinary school.
He was preceded in death by grandmother, Rose Duarte; grandfathers, Vicente Garcia and Ronald Espinoza; cousin, Raynee Martinez; and his great-grandparents.
Left to cherish Tony’s memory are his mother, Michele Nichols; stepfather, Darrell Nichols; father, Miguel Duarte; brothers, Michael Duarte and Lee Nichols; and sisters, Cecilia Duarte, Victoria Duarte, and Anna Nichols. He also leaves behind his grandparents, Gene and Debbie Short and Leonard and Esther Krawczyk; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
