Rose Marie Hightower

Rose Marie Hightower, age 69, of Canton, North Carolina passed away on Friday, September 23, 2022. Rose was born in Haywood County on July 30, 1953, to the late Johnny and Edith Messer Pressley. Rose loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed feeding her birds and working in her flower garden.

In addition to her parents, Rose was preceded in death by her son Mitchel Hightower; and siblings, Betsy, Margaret, Nancy, and Max.

Left to cherish her memory is her sons, Michael Hightower (Kim) and Mark Hightower (Kim); grandchildren, Tyler, Breanna and Mandalyn Hightower, Matthew Jamison (Nicole), Terriney Bradley (Phillip) and Josh Jamison (Leigh) ; great-grandchildren, Connor Jamison and Haylen Bradley; sisters, Joyce Frady and Judy McClure; brother, J. B. Pressley; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 6:00 pm on Friday, October 14, in the chapel of Garrett Funerals and Cremations with the Reverend Johnnie Passmore officiating. The family will receive friends from 5-6 pm prior to the service at the funeral home.
