Waynesville-Roland "Butch" Howard Russell 66, passed away on Monday, January 31, 2022, at Mission Hospital. Roland was born on June 24, 1955, in Salem, New Jersey. Butch enjoyed working wood, cooking, building and showing hotrods. Most of all Butch will be remembered for giving the shirt off his back.
Butch was preceded in death by his parents, Bob Russell and Helen Brown Massie; mother of his children, Debra Rhodes and Lisa Russell; and his uncle, Ralph Vinson.
Butch is survived by his daughters, Crystal Summey (James Summey), Tasha Woody (Alan McFalls), and Alicia Goodson; sisters, Kathilynn Russell and Marla Sabins (Charles); grandchildren, Destiny and Alexis Summey, Johnathan and Jordan Woody, Elayna and Eryana Goodson; mother of his daughter, Tina Stamey; great-grandson Braylin; aunt, Susie Vinson; nephew, Jody Conner; and step-father Hugh Massie.
A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, February 19, in the chapel of Garrett Funerals and Cremations.
