Peggy Buchanan

Peggy Bryson Buchanan, age 77, of Waynesville, NC passed away on Friday, November 11, 2022. Peggy was born in Haywood County, NC on September 13, 1945 to the late George and Gladys Bryson.

Peggy worked for 21 years at Wellco and was a retired business office manager for 24 years at Autumn Care Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. Many will remember Peggy selling Avon products throughout the county for nearly 35 years. Peggy was of the Baptist faith and member of Balsam Baptist Church. She enjoyed listening to gospel music, cooking for friends and had a love for animals.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Carlton "Bill" Buchanan; brother, Mike Bryson; and sister, Lynda Hill.

Left to cherish her memory is a host of extended family and close friends.

Funeral services for Peggy will be held at 2 PM on Friday, November 18, 2022 in the chapel of Garrett Funeral Home. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Friday at the funeral home.

Entombment will be held at Garrett Hillcrest Memorial Park.
