Margaret Lee Walls

Margaret Lee Walls (Peggy) was born September 4th,1955, the youngest of five siblings, in West Palm Beach, FL. She passed away on July 13th, 2023, shortly before 8 pm. She was surrounded by the caring and supportive staff of Autumn Care of Waynesville, NC. Alongside her was her daughter Angel and friend and roommate Judy. She left this world peacefully to cross over and join her mother Margaret W. McKnight, brother Christopher L. McKnight, her sister Linda L McKnight and her former dalmatian dog Bandit, that she loved very much. Margaret had a love for animals, antiques of all kinds, plants, costume jewelry, and trains. She always had a good sense of humor for you with a dash of funny sarcasm..

Peggy spent the majority of her life in Greer, SC where she worked at Allied Signal in Greer and was a cherished friend of Steve and Linda Barnett there. Margaret had two brothers Edgar Lee McKnight and Brian Lee McKnight of SC; she had four grandchildren Eva, Triston, Caiden and little Eli as well as six great grandchildren; her two children, daughter Angelica R. Thompson of Clyde, NC and son Shawn Timothy Walls of SC. She will be missed by her dog Odie, her cat Fiona as well her supportive, loving niece Melissa (Missy) Lee of Gainesville, GA along with several other nieces and nephews in and around SC. She loved all animals and gave several donations over the years to animals sanctuaries and rescues.

She will be cremated at Garretts Funeral Home in Waynesville, NC .
