Lula Franklin Franklin Ledford

Lula Franklin Ledford “Loving Wife, Mother, Sister and Grandmother” Lula Franklin Ledford, 63 of Canton, NC went to be with the Lord, Saturday, February 20, 2016 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Haywood County on May 27, 1952 to the late Dennis and Iva Lee Green Franklin. She was a longtime member of Belmont Baptist Church where she was a Sunday School Teacher and Treasurer. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by three brothers, Johnny Glenn, Terry Lee and Ricky Dean Franklin. Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Jimmy Dale Ledford, daughters, Rebecca Ledford and LeaAnne Ledford; brothers, Dennis (Dorsey) Franklin, Jr., Arthur Franklin, James Franklin, and David (Sheila) Franklin; sisters, Nancy (Ollie) Hammond, Viola (Steve) Hedden, Martha Ledford, and Mary Ann (Robert) Curtin; grandchildren, Hudson Scott Ledford and Juliette Claire Janssen. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM on Tuesday, February 23, 2016 in the Chapel of Garrett Funeral Home with the Reverends Jerry Nelson and Kenny Banks officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 23, 2016 from 12 PM to 2 PM prior to the services at the funeral home. Burial will be held at Parkers Memorial Chapel Cemetery.
