Linda May Moore Burdette 1941 – 2016 ARDEN, NC - Linda May Moore Burdette, 75, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 27, 2016 from her home after an extended illness. She was surrounded by family, friends, and hospice members.. She was born in Haywood County on July 29, 1941 to the late Cecil Lynn and Evelyn Ernestine Moore. Survived by her daughter, Sharon Lynn McCracken of Arden; grandson, Wesley T. McCracken and wife, Kelly; great grandson, William Thomas McCracken all of Lexington, SC; sister, Marilyn Barnwell and husband, Allen of Mills River; brother, James Nelson Moore and wife, Joyce of Hendersonville and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Memorial Service will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, October 8, 2016 in the chapel of Garrett Funeral Home with Minister, Lynn Blackwelder officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday prior to the memorial service from 1 to 2 PM at the funeral home. Inurnment will be held privately at Garrett Hillcrest Memorial Park at a later date.
