Lee Roy Strickland, age 88, of Clyde, NC passed away on Tuesday, April 18, 2023. Lee Roy was born in Madison County, NC on December 10, 1934 to the late Charles and Ethel Strickland.
Lee Roy loved gardening, hunting and a "Jack of all trades"
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brothers, JC, Alan, and Kenneth Strickland.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 64 1/2 years, Frances Leasie Coley Strickland; three children, Frances Lee (Roy) Hannah, Roy Lane Strickland, and Kim (Buddy) Taylor; brothers, Danny, Edward and Joseph Strickland; six grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held at 2 PM Friday, April 21, 2023 at Garrett Funeral Home with Reverend Ronald Greene officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Burial will be held at Garrett Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Serving as pallbearers will be Junior Taylor, Charlie and Harley Strickland, Jordan and Dylan Riddle, and Brian and Adam Wright.
