Donna Kay James

Donna Kay James, age 65 of Waynesville, NC went to be with The Lord on Wednesday, October 12, 2022. Donna Kay was born in Haywood County on April 10, 1957 to the late Horace and Nellie Smith James.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her close companion, Doug Blankenship; son, John Lee James; brothers, Harold Dean and Ray James; and sisters, Shirley Carver and Lolamae Ledford.

Left to cherish her memory are her brother, Joe (Katherine) James and several nieces and nephews that loved her dearly.

She enjoyed her spending time with her close friends and family.

Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, October 14, at Green Hill Cemetery with the Reverend Jerry Nelson and Reverend Scotty Patrick officiating.

Pallbearers will be Joe Alan James, Johnny James, Cole James, Dillion James, Jim Green and Tony Green.

The family would like to thank Haywood Hospice and the staff at Maggie Valley Nursing Home for caring for Donna Kay James.
