Carl Vernon DeLong, age 85, of Manchester, TN passed away surrounded by his daughter and grandchildren on Saturday, March 2, 2024. Carl was born in Catskill, NY on September 4, 1938, to the late Vernon and Florence Tompkins DeLong. He was a strong Christian man who was a deacon and elder in the Church of Christ. Carl is survived by his son, Dale Carl DeLong (Dayle); daughter, Dana Carlene DeLong; grandchildren, Trisha Danielle Bogart, Tiffany Dominique Palmer (Matt), Todd Douglas Maupin (Shelby), Tristin Dale Maupin, and Kendal DeLong; great-grandchildren, Nathan, Hayden, Steven, Elijah, Olivia, Carson, and Finley; and his childhood best friend, Rodrick Crane (Gerda) who he stayed in contact with and who he "RVed around the world together with."
