Bobby Vincent Carver passed away peacefully on July 6th with his family beside him. Bobby was predeceased by his parents Polly and Fred Carver, his sisters Bonnie and Louise, his loving wife of 64 years, Mary Ineva and his son Ricky Carver and his grandson John Lee Patrick. He was an amazing father to his daughters, Pollyanna Mckinnish, Cleta Patrick (John) and his sons, Ricky and Randy Carver (Kimberly). A Loving Grandfather to Amy 0’Riley, Aaron Carver, Mitchell McKinnish, Karri Shook, Alyssa Attaway, and Rikki Carver. He had seven great–grandchildren.
He was a talented artist, who taught art at Haywood Community College while working at Champion Papers, where he retired after 38 years. He was well known as a cartoonist and musician. His favorite instruments to play were guitars, mandolins and banjo. Bobby designed and created the Pisgah and Franklin High school mascots in the late 70’s. He was an avid outdoorsman, conservationist, and dog trainer. He was known as a go to source for community animal care.
Visitation will be 12:30 to 1:30 on Monday, July 10, at Crestview Baptist Church in Bethel, followed by a Funeral Service at the church officiated by the Reverend Dr. Daniel Page and the graveside service at Crawford/Ray Memorial Gardens.
The family received exceptional care from Haywood County First Responders, Mission Heart Tower, and Silver Bluff Rehabilitation.
