Canton, NC – Betty Pitts Chambers Robinson, age 80, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 17th, 2019 while surrounded by friends and family. She was born in Haywood County on November 23, 1938 to the late William Dacus Pitts and Maria Singleton Pitts.
Betty retired from BASF after 38 years. She was also a member at Riverside Baptist Church in Canton.
In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her first husband of 37 years, Doyce Chambers, as well has her brothers, Ben, Junior and Roy Pitts.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 19 years, Wendell Robinson; his children, Dewayne, Sharon and Walter Robinson; sister, Mildred Summer; brother, Bruce Pitts and wife Linda Pitts; sister-in-law, Joann Pitts; and numerous nieces and nephews. She will also be greatly missed by her beloved dog, Princess.
Visitation for Betty will be held on Friday November 22nd from 12:00 – 2:00 pm, followed directly by funeral services in the Chapel of Garrett Funeral Home in Waynesville, with Reverends Steve Frazier and Kris Estep officiating. Burial will be held at Bethel Community Cemetery.
