She was born September 8, 1920 in Washington, a daughter of the late Elmer and Margaret Jane Waugh Zoeller.
She was a 1938 graduate of Trinity High School and a 1943 graduate of the Washington Hospital School of Nursing.
On October 23, 1943 she married Eugene “Jack” Brumage, who died September 21, 2011.
Mrs. Brumage was a registered nurse at Greene County Memorial Hospital for 25 years where she served as the head pediatric nurse.
She was a member of St. George’s Anglican Church at Waynesburg and the Greene County Nurse’s Club.
Mrs. Brumage enjoyed taking care of others. She volunteered at The Cherry Door thrift shop and assisted in fundraising for Hospice Care and the Greene County Humane Society.
Surviving are a daughter, Beth Brumage of Waynesburg; a son James Brumage (Debbie Burnfield) of Waynesburg; a granddaughter, Cynthia (Gary) Bowers of Waynesburg; two grandsons, Karl and Curtis Brumage both of Florida; a granddaughter, Christine Hampson of Waynesburg; five great-granddaughters Caitlyn and Riley Jac Bowers, and Jessie Elizabeth, Drew, and Dylan Hampson; her “adopted daughter”, Signe Plumlee of Alabama formerly of Waynesburg; and her loving care-giver, Wendy Black of Waynesburg.
Deceased are a brother, William Zoeller Sr. and a sister, Margaret Murray.
Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday at Behm Funeral Homes Inc., 182 West High St., Waynesburg, where services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, April 23, 2012 with Rev. John Corbett officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Whiteley Township. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. George’s Anglican Church, Waynesburg, PA 15370.
