She was born on June 10, 1933, to Norman and Helene (Carroll) King in McKees Rocks, PA. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband George W. Murdoch.
She is survived by her three children: Suzi (Mike) MacMurdo of Johnstown, PA, Beth (Dave) Calvario of Waynesburg, PA, and Norm (Debbie) Murdoch of Geneva, IL. Norma was the proud grandma to Philip (Andy), Andrew, Anthony (Kari), Daniel (Alexandra), Steven, Rachel and Alyssa (Nicholas). In addition, she was blessed with Declan, Tennyson, Syler, Amelia and Evelyn as her great-grandchildren.
Norma and George loved traveling to see family and friends in the many RVs they had throughout their life. Norma loved driving as much as George and rumor has it, she drove a 38-foot diesel pusher better than George.
Norma will be remembered for her active involvement in many helping ministries, specifically, Stephens Ministry and Grief Share. She was a loyal friend and quietly helped many in need. Even as her memory faded, she still had the ability to laugh and tease others in her life.
The family is so grateful for the wonderful love and care she received from The Village House.
There will be a service of remembrance on January 4, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church, Waynesburg, PA followed by lunch. Arrangements are entrusted to Milliken and Throckmorton Funeral Home, Inc., Waynesburg, PA Condolences can be expressed online at www.milliken-throckmortonfh.com
