She was born May 1, 1948, in Waynesburg, a daughter of the late James O. and Evelyn DeBolt Wildman.
Martha had worked as a phlebotomist at the former Greene County Memorial Hospital, Waynesburg.
She was a member of the Washington Street Methodist Church, Waynesburg.
Martha was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She loved her family, friends and God and was a devout Christian. She was an excellent cook and baker; having made many a birthday and wedding cakes for the community. She loved sewing and crafts, attended floral school in Pittsburgh and was a former 4-H Sewing Club leader.
On July 20, 1968, she married Ted L. Hoy, who died January 28, 2018.
Surviving are two children, a daughter, Melissa Whetzel of Moorefield, WV and a son, Tad G. (Shera) Hoy of Spraggs; three granddaughters, Morgan Whetzel, Madison Whetzel, and Shea Lynn Hoy; a brother, David (Patty) Wildman of Bethel Park and a sister, Nancy (David) Martin of Holbrook.
Deceased is a son-in-law, Bobby Whetzel.
Friends will be received on Friday, December 27, 2024, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm in the Milliken & Throckmorton Funeral Home, 197 N. Maiden St., Waynesburg, PA 15370, where funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 28, 2024, at 11:00 am with the Rev. Dr. William Parker officiating.
