She was born October 9, 1953 in Waynesburg, a daughter of the late George and Edna Yuras Zappone.
Deb was a 1972 graduate of Carmichaels High School.
She worked at PennDOT in the Greene County District for more than 35 years.
Deb was a member of the Women of the Moose Lodge #888 and the VFW Post#4793.
On August 25, 1984 she married Charles “Chuck” Ankrom, who survives.
Deb most loved and enjoyed caring and spending time with her grandchildren.
Also surviving are two daughters, Tara (Richie) Bortz of Waynesburg and Beverly Ankrom (Dave Shultz) of Waynesburg; four grandchildren, Richard and Brynn Bortz and Shayna and Kaylee Hugo; two great grandsons, Cale “Bubby” Hugo and Layne “Dude” Hugo; two step-grandchildren, Tyler Shultz and Alexia Conard; a sister, Melanie Hixenbaugh of Waynesburg and a brother, Toby (Charlotte) Zappone of Crucible.
