Alan was born August 3, 1942 to the late Alexander Brona Clements and the late Mildred A. Clements. He graduated from New Brighton High School in 1960. He then entered the U.S. Navy for 4 years. He worked for the city of Beaver Falls as a police officer until 1983. During this time, he received his Bachelor's degree in Criminology from University of Pittsburgh. He was then the Chief of Police of White Township in Beaver County from 1983 to 1986. He then went to Carbondale, PA as a Police Chief. After retiring from law enforcement, he went into the Department of Corrections, beginning in SCI Waymart and ending at SCI Greene. He also worked as a bus driver for Greene County Transportation.
Alan was a devoted public servant who valued the people and communities he served. He was also a die-hard Steelers fan.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Rebecca Novak Clements; 4 children, Jared Michael Clements, Alana Michele Clements, Alisa Noelle Clements, and Adam Brona Clements; sister, Donna Savage (Jim); several nieces and nephews; and his beloved Siberian Husky, Ziva.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, William Thomas Clements; and his beloved Pomeranians, Pup-Pup, Coco, and Quinn.
Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to The American Cancer Society or The Humane Society of Greene County.
