The service today was so lovely. It was a wonderful tribute to Ron.  
I was fortunate to know him at SDHS and  at JMU.  He was truly a good friend, caring, fun and loyal. 
He would reach out to me occasionally over the years since. I wish I’d known he was sick in recent months, I would have loved to have visited him. 
He was a very special guy and I won’t forget him, or today’s service! 
My prayers are with his family in this tremendous loss. 

Ronald was a childhood friend at Ladd Elementary. We would throw baseball before school started in the morning. He went on to be a pitcher and played ball with my husband at SDHS.
We were saddened to hear of his passing and are praying for his mom and brothers.

So sorry to hear about Ron. I have such fond memories of him. We had some great times together.  I will always remember him and that infectious smile on his face.  My thoughts are with you all. 

While we did not have the pleasure of knowing Ron, we know that our friend, Brian, loved his brother. We hope that the memories they shared will bring comfort to Brian and all of his family. 

Met RON at Boy Scouts troop 81 in crimora was friends with his brother Brian then when Brian went to ferrum college, I became friends with RON until he got going with varsity baseball…you will be missed

He lived life to the fullest and I was there to make sure he always had a great laugh. So many stories to tell about the fun we had at work and play.  I will miss him and may God look over Betty and James and Brian at this hour of need.

Thoughts and prayers to the Parker family.

To the Parker family, my thoughts and condolences for your terrible loss.
Most of my memories are scattered bits from our childhood. Playing baseball,  building a damn at the creek behind my house and hitting him in the head with a huge rock, thinking for a moment that I had killed him lol. His mom packed his lunch everyday for school while the rest of us were enjoying those delicious school lunches at Ladd lol. I hate that we didn't reconnect again, but my childhood was so much better and more fun because of Ron. I have thought of him often over the years. Last time we spoke he was working at a golf course in West Virginia and he was enjoying a good life. I'm sure he touched the hearts of many. 
Miss you Ron. Hope I make it to heaven to see you again. I'll bring my glove...

Ron was a good man. He was like a big brother to me. Once in high school a rumor was circulating about me that was untrue.  He was the only person with the character to tell me about it and then tell his fellow athletes the rumor was untrue.  We also went to JMU together,  where he played baseball.  He was a gifted athlete.   At JMU he and my roommate and I would often share pizza and laughs as we navigated those exciting but also awkward and lonely days of freshman year.  At our 20-year reunion,  a group of us sat out in the field next to his parents' house and talked about life until the wee hours of the night, while admiring the stars.   Ron was kind and funny and always a friend to women.   He's gone far too soon.
