Mitchel Lewis "Mitch" Reynolds

Mitchel Lewis Reynolds, 67, of Waynesboro, passed away on January 12, 2017 at Augusta Health.
Mitch was born on June 6, 1949 in Buena Vista, a son of the late Charles and Ellen Reynolds. On February 3, 1974 he married Cheryl Selby in Williamston, NC.
Mitch graduated from Chowan College and later received a Master’s Degree in Education Administration from James Madison University. He worked as an educator with Augusta County Schools for 30 plus years. A U.S. Army Veteran, he served his country honorably during the Vietnam War and was awarded the Bronze Star, Vietnam Service Medal, and the National Defense Service Medal. He was a lifetime member of the Stuarts Draft Rescue Squad and worked for Augusta County Fire/Rescue. Mitch coached football at Wilson Memorial High School, Stuarts Draft High and Riverheads High School and officiated many high school football games in the Valley.
Mitch is survived by his wife Cheryl Reynolds; daughters, Sarah Bailey and husband, Michael and Meghan Reynolds; three grandchildren, Luke, Claire and Reed Bailey.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, January 16, 2017 at the Waynesboro Church of the Brethren with Dr. Glen Holman officiating.
There will be no formal viewing or visitation at the funeral home.
