Minnie Gray Drumheller, 97, of Waynesboro passed away on Monday, March 5, 2018 at Augusta Health.
Born September 3, 1920 in Augusta County, she was the daughter of the late John E. and Josephine (Ellinger) Walter.
Minnie was a member of Shenandoah Heights Baptist Church. In previous years, she was an active member of the Waynesboro Senior Center. She enjoyed gardening, needle work and playing bingo.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Joseph A. Pleasants; her second husband, Arthur Blair Drumheller; son, Glen A. Pleasants; sister, Edith Bunch; and brothers, John E. Walter and Earl Walter.
Survivors include her daughter, Jane A. Painter and husband, Danny of Waynesboro; grandchildren, Robert A. Painter and wife, Robin and Bridget A. Pleasants; great grandchildren, Shaun Baker and Jessica Baker; great-great grandchildren, Devin Baker and Dylan Baker; one sister-in-law, Madeline Walter and a number of nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 9, 2018 at Shenandoah Heights Baptist Church, 901 Shenandoah Ave., Waynesboro with Pastor Paul LaPrevotte officiating. Burial will follow in Riverview Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Friday at the church prior to the service.
Those desiring may make memorial contributions in Minnie’s memory to a charity of one’s choice.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the residents and staff of Avante at Waynesboro for their kindness and care during her years there.
