Mary Catherine Campbell

Mary Catherine Campbell, 69, of Waynesboro passed away on Friday, February 3, 2023 at Augusta Health after a battle with cancer. Born September 30, 1953 in Waynesboro, she was a daughter of the late Author and Lucille Fisher. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a newborn son, Jesse Michael; sister, Audrey Ailstock; and grandson, Dustyn Fitzgerald. She is survived by the love of her life, Alvin Campbell, whom she married on June 12, 1987; son, RJ Fitzgerald (Paige) of Greenville; daughter, Michelle Gibson Fitzgerald of Waynesboro; grandsons, Codie Roberson and wife, Amber and Alston Gibson; great-granddaughter, Winter Roberson; stepson, Timmy Campbell (April) of Waynesboro; step-daughter, Jennifer Campbell of Stuarts Draft; seven step-grandchildren; her best friend that was more like a sister, Jesse Craig; niece, Shannon Holmes; and nephew, T.J. Ailstock. Following cremation, the family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 9, 2023 at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes, 618 W.
