Obituary of Helga R. Grant
Helga Radinger Grant, 85, of Waynesboro passed away on Friday, October 11, 2024 at Waynesboro Manor surrounded by her family. Born September 1, 1939 in Augsburg, Germany, she was a daughter of the late Michael and Thea (Beck) Radinger. Helga was a member of Oak Hill United Methodist Church, Lyndhurst. She was a military wife and took great pride in raising her two sons as they were stationed in various places through the years. Helga enjoyed traveling, sewing and crocheting. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to many. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William W. Grant; loving k-9, Scamper; and several brothers and sisters. Survivors include her sons, Robert W. Grant and wife, Becky, of Nashville, TN, Stephen M. Grant and fiancé, Shelby Elkins, of Waynesboro, and Jeremy W. Grant and wife, Nancie, of Waynesboro; grandchildren, Robb Grant (KC), Samantha Henson (Matt), William C. Grant, Kyle Sloan (Amanda), and Josh Sloan; great-grandchildren, Bailey, Alexa, Eli, and Luke; two sisters, Ilse Vollbrecht of CA and Gertrude Radinger of Germany; and several special nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 15, 2024 at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes, 618 W. Main St., Waynesboro. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 16, 2024 at the funeral home with E. David Cash officiating. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the Susan G.
