Eric Ray Henderson
Eric Ray Henderson, 59, of Waynesboro, died in his home surrounded by his family on May 21, 2013 at 6:15 A.M.
Eric was born on June 3, 1953 in Waynesboro and was a son of the late Charles and Clara Henderson. Eric was a long time member of the Shenandoah Valley Hog Chapter and most recently with the Valley Riders. He was also a veteran of the United States Army, serving for seven years. He worked as a truck driver for 20 years and was a mechanic for Team Tires for 10 years.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Patsy Henderson.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Henderson is survived by a daughter, Victoria Via and her fiancée Jamie Phillips of Waynesboro; a son, Eric Ray Henderson and wife Jen of Staunton; stepdaughters, Kim and Robbie Southall of Mt. Sidney, Valerie and Mark Simmons of Waynesboro; step son James Bud Falls of South Carolina; eleven grandchildren; two sisters, Phyllis and Richard Duff and Christine and Aruther Fasig of Waynesboro; special nephew, Tommie and Alicia O’Keefe of Waynesboro; sister in law, Norma and Robbie Fisher and their son TC and Savannah Fisher of Sherando. He was preceded in death by a sister, Brenda Henderson.
Eric has touched more lives than could ever be mentioned and he will be greatly missed by all.
The family will receive friends on Thursday May 23, 2013 at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral from 6 until 8 PM.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday May 25, 2013 beginning at 1 pm in the parking lot of the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Home. A procession led by motorcycles will travel to Stuarts Draft Mennonite Church Cemetery, where the service will be conducted by Rev. Randy Blankenship.
