Betty Jane Martin

She was born February 24, 1926 in Wisconsin, a daughter of the late Anna Anderson.

Since the mid 70’s Betty was a member of First Baptist Church. Betty enjoyed working as a bank teller right up to her retirement.

In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ellis M. Martin and a son, David Martin.

Survivors include sons, George Martin and John Martin both of Waynesboro; daughter, Jane M. Pattison and husband, Dennis of Herndon; grandchildren, Stephanie Martin, Christopher Martin, Laura R. Moorer, Ellis Fravel, Rebekah Kenney and Linda Martin; seven great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Flora Martin of Waynesboro.

A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 12, 2017 at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Barrett Owen officiating.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes.
