Scott Alan McKay passed away in Wayne, Michigan on Thursday January 17, 2019 at the age of 60. He is remembered by his loving mother Arlene of Dearborn and was predeceased by his father William (Bill) Henry in April 2014. He was loved by his sister Joanne of Dearborn; brothers Mike of Canton, Pat (Lowella) of Gibraltar and Tom (Liz) of Chester Springs, PA as well as many nieces and nephews: Christine, Zoe, Stephen, Sarah, Philip (Korinne), Dominic, Amery, Jonah, Grayson, Skylar, Nicholas (Sami), Dennis, Carolyn, Colin, Catherine, Caleigh and Ciaran. Scott will be missed by his dog Buddy who he dearly loved too.
Scott was born in Detroit, Michigan in 1958. He graduated from Livonia Bentley High School in 1977 and went on to earn an associate degree in Automotive Technology from Schoolcraft College. He worked as a mechanic at national chains in Michigan and Missouri and probably helped work on your car.
Scott truly enjoyed the outdoors and sports. His greatest achievements were reaching the highest level of Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts of America and being a top ranked wrestler in high school and college. Scott qualified and placed in the high school state tournament 3 times and went to the national tournament as a freshman at Schoolcraft.
A memorial mass will be held at Divine Child Catholic Church, 1055 N. Silvery Lane, Dearborn, MI 48124 on January 26, 2019 at 10:00 am. (In state 9:30 am at the church).
