Ruth Darlene Lovan

Ruth Darlene Lovan, a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully under the compassionate care of Angela Hospice on May 8, 2024, at the age of 75. Born on November 9, 1948, in Wayne, Michigan, Ruth was the daughter of Joseph and Irene Fruciano.

Ruth was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Joe Lovan, and her siblings Sharon Cummings, John Fruciano and Joseph Fruciano. She is survived by her loving children, Jennifer Neal (Chad Melow), Joe Winfield (Crystal Meesseman), stepchildren Joely Burlingame (Rob), and Angie Lovan-Malloy (Late Randy). Ruth will be fondly remembered as a devoted grandma to James Neal, Brittany Ianni, Samantha Burlingame, and Robbie Burlingame, and as a dear great-grandma to Jim Neal, Kilee Ianni, and Sophie Neal.

Among her siblings, Ruth leaves behind Virginia (Bill) Sexton, Robert (Gail) Fruciano, James (Barb) Fruciano, Michael (Debbie) Fruciano, and Ronnie (Nina) Fruciano, along with numerous nieces and nephews who will cherish her memory.

Ruth graduated from St. Mary's High School and spent her entire life in Wayne, Michigan. She found joy and fulfillment in her role as a lunch aide for Public Schools, where she touched the lives of many children with her warmth and kindness. Beyond her professional life, Ruth had a passion for golfing and the excitement of the casino. However, her heart truly belonged to Christmas, a holiday she celebrated with unparalleled enthusiasm. She delighted in hosting Christmas Eve parties, creating cherished memories with friends and family that will endure for generations.

Ruth's legacy is one of love, generosity, and joy. Her presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Though she may be gone, her spirit will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of those who loved her.

Visitation, Monday May 13, 2024 from 11AM-8PM at Harry J. Will Funeral Home: 34567 Michigan Ave, Wayne, MI 48184. Continued visitation, Tuesday May 14, 2024 from 11AM until time of service at 12PM at the funeral home. Ruth will be laid to rest at Glenwood Cemetery in Wayne.
