Mark Duane Rowland Jr., affectionately known as "Marky," was born on August 30, 1981, in Detroit, Michigan, to Hillary Sanchez and Mark Duane Rowland Sr. He passed away unexpectedly on August 21, 2024.
Mark was a light in the lives of everyone who knew him. His sense of humor and ability to make others laugh were unmatched. Known for his incredible celebrity impersonations, he was particularly famous for his spot-on Wayne's World impressions, which never failed to bring joy to those around him.
A creative soul, Mark expressed himself through his love of drawing, which eventually led him to a fulfilling career as a tattoo artist. He also had a deep appreciation for music and enjoyed spending time on the golf course, where he found peace.
Mark cherished the time he spent with his friends and family. To cherish his memory, Mark leaves behind his devoted mother, Hillary McKenzie-Grougan, his stepfather, Scott Grougan, his two children, Little Marky and Tyler, his siblings, Michelle, Melissa and Kevin, and his nieces and nephews, Destinee, Serenity, Faith, Joechelle, Olivia, Lillian, Joey, Kaylina, Billy, Tristan, and his great-niece Raylynne. Marky had many cousins who he loved, but he shared a very special bond with his cousin Mikey, who was more like a brother to him.
Mark is preceded in death by his father, Mark Duane Rowland Sr., his stepmother Sherry Lovins, and his brother, Rodrick. Their memories will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved them.
A memorial service to celebrate Mark's life will be held at a later date at his family home. Though his time on earth was far too short, the laughter, love, and creativity he brought into the world will never be forgotten.
Rest in peace, Marky. You will be deeply missed.
