James Robert Stewart Jr., born on June 1, 1951, in Detroit, MI, the beloved son of James Sr. and Betty (Williams) Stewart, passed away peacefully after a valiant battle with cancer, surrounded by his loving family. He was a man of remarkable strength and resilience, with an indomitable will to live, never once complaining about his illness.
James, known for his headstrong nature and determination, lived life to the fullest. He was an avid hunter and practitioner of karate, embodying a spirit of courage and perseverance in all aspects of his life. His passion for cars, particularly vans, was unparalleled, and he found great joy in being a member of the van group, Action Vans, where he shared his enthusiasm with friends.
Among his many loves, James adored his Australian Shepherd, Avana, who brought immeasurable joy and companionship into his life. His love for his children was profound and unwavering, each cherished differently but equally dearly.
In addition to his parents, James is preceded in death by his siblings Carol Gusty, and Gary Stewart.
James leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion, survived by his three children: Kaylei Stewart, Chad (Laura) Stewart, Tiffany (Johnny) McMahan, and his four grandchildren: Alisa, Cadence, Lukasz, and Charlotte. He is also survived by his brother, Deacon Mike (Karin) Stewart.
Though James may have departed from this world, his memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. His courage, strength, and love will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to have known him.
