Brenda Noel Parker

Brenda Noel Parker, 76, of Wayne, Michigan, passed away on Saturday, February 2, 2019. She is the beloved wife of Martin, mother of son Martin Parker III and wife Leticia of Dallas, Texas, and daughter Kimberly Pearson of Garden City, Michigan. She is survived by her sister Linda Meyer and her husband David of Staunton, Virginia. She was Nana to four loving grandsons in Michigan, three grandsons and one granddaughter in Texas, and one granddaughter in New Jersey. She also had four great grandchildren.

Brenda was a spark that ignited everyone around her and she was known for her feisty approach. She was proud to marry the love of her life, Martin, and for spending over 55 wonderful years together.

Some of Brenda's favorite achievements include marrying Martin, caring for her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She was athletic, serving as co-captain of her Caroline High School Basketball team and winning the state basketball championship. She was the star in I Remember Mama in her high school play. Her witty skills and strong beliefs served her well throughout life.

Over the years, Brenda worked diligently as an office manager for many businesses. Brenda had always been so independent and self-sufficient throughout her life; making mistakes and learning from them but most importantly loving and being loved by her family.

Her favorite persons were individuals who work hard, were honest and trustworthy, who care about others and strived to preserve the earth we have been fortunate enough to inhabit. She was one of those individuals who worked hard all her life, showed her passion for life, and loved her cats and family. During her valiant battle with COPD, she never lost her determination to live and be the best at everything she did.

A visitation for Brenda will be Thursday, February 7th: family arrive at 5pm and receive friends/guests from 6pm-8pm at Harry J. Will Funeral Home, Wayne. A funeral service will be officiated by Pastor Richard Smith, held on Friday, February 8th, at 11am (gathering beginning at 10am) also at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to honor Brenda's love for cats and other animals, can be made to the Michigan Humane Society (see link below).
