Judy L. Keizer, age 63 of Wayland, entered peacefully into the arms of her gracious Lord and Savior March 13, 2023 with her loving family by her side after a hard fought battle of an unexpected illness. She is survived by her children Lisa (Josh) Link, April Miller, Angie (Nate) Smith; granddaughters McKenzie and Lauren; siblings Jerry Keizer, Jackie Keizer, Lori (Randy) Jager, Larry (Jeannie) Keizer; many cousins, nieces, nephews, and countless loving friends. Greeting Judy at the gates of her new eternal home were those who preceded her in death - parents Howard and Kathleen Keizer and sister, Linda Hibma.
Judy’s greatest life accomplishments include having been an incredible loving mother, becoming a wonderful grandmother, and living a life devoted to Jesus Christ. Her life impacted so many others through her work and service to the community and she wore many “hats,” sometimes all at once. Throughout her life, Judy was a dedicated paramedic with Wayland Area EMS (30 years), a nurse aide at the Laurels of Sandy Creek (10 years), an Allegan County Medical Examiner Investigator (over 20 years), and she also spent time as a support member of the Wayland Fire Department.
Judy was an active member of Wayland Christian Reformed Church. She used the gifts God provided her and shared her talents with others by playing piano, singing on the worship team, attending Bible study, and helping out in many other various ways. Judy lived a purposeful life and was always encouraging others, even when she was facing her own battles that were incomprehensible to most. Her strong faith carried her through to becoming a cancer survivor more than once. She will be missed by her brothers and sisters in Christ.
Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. Friday, March 17, 2023 at Wayland Christian Reformed Church, 303 E. Elm St., Wayland, MI 49348. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, March 18, 2023, at Wayland Christian Reformed Church, with visitation from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to service. In lieu of flowers, donations are being accepted to help the family with funeral and memorial services as Judy’s passing was completely unexpected. She touched the lives of so many others and the family would like to give back any excess money as donations to Wayland Area Emergency Medical Services and Wayland Christian Reformed Church. Donations may be made at the following website: Judy Keizer's Memorial Website on Ever Loved. The family welcomes memories and messages in their guest book online at www.kubiakcookwayland.com.
