Pauline was educated in local schools graduating from Winslow High School in the class of 1953. She worked at Keyes Fiber and also worked at LaVerdier’s Drug Store in her later years.
Pauline enjoyed traveling and visiting the Maine coast especially the Belfast region with her sisters for many summers. She always followed the Boston Red Sox and Bruins, never missing a televised game. In Pauline’s younger years she would play cards with many of her friends and would stop by the VFW to play Beano with some of her other colleagues. Pauline always deeply loved her grandchildren and was fond of Lynne’s cats; Hunny Mae, P.Diddy, and Tedman.
Pauline is survived by her husband of 49 years, Gerald of Winslow, daughter Lynne Melanson and husband Matt of Waterville, sons Joe Simpson and wife Tammy of Belgrade and Pete Simpson and wife Shelly of Belgrade. She also leaves behind her twin sister Pearl Esty, sisters Jeanne Dostie and Van Pollackov, grandchildren Ashley, Susan, Cody, Tyler and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
A committal service will be held on Friday, February 15, 12:00 Noon at the Maine Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery Chapel – Mt. Vernon Rd.
