Noella (Gaudreau) Daigle, 84, passed away peacefully on July 23, 2021, in an Augusta medical facility. She was born on December 26, 1936, in Fort Kent, to the late Alphee and Irene (Thibeault) Gaudreau.
Noella loved puttering in her garden and flower beds, canning, crafting, painting, and reading. Ever creative, she loved cooking and experimenting with recipes. Every potato harvest the family enjoyed her whoopie pies and home made root beer. Winters were spent visiting with her children and grandchildren in the warmer states. In addition to spending time with her family, Noella was extremely proud of her many years of work as a CNA at Forest Hill Manor. Her boundless and unconditional love will be greatly missed.
Noella is survived by 3 daughters and 4 sons: Linda Hicks and her husband Bruno of Dalton, GA., Cindy Wilson of Vernon, CT., Lori Daigle and her partner Jeffery White of Vassalboro, ME., Claude and his partner Rebecca Alderman of Louisville, KY., Mark of Lake Alfred, FL., Michael and his wife Haley of Stetson,ME., and Larry of Lake Alfred, FL. She is survived by 2 sisters and 1 brother: Rose Martin of Bristol, CT, Marie Daigle and her partner Nelson Babin of Fort Kent, ME., and Gérard (Pete) Gaudreau and his wife Nicole of Bristol CT., and a sister-in-law Diane Gaudreau of Fort Kent and brother-in-law Norman Daigle, of Daigle, ME. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her husband Claude Daigle, son Wayne Daigle, 5 sisters: Margaret Pelletier, Martha Dubois, Alphena Pelletier, Anita Bossie, Rita Lagasse, and 1 brother: Michael Gaudreau.
A committal service will be held at Holy Family Cemetery on Friday, August 13 at 3:30PM. A celebration of Noella's life will follow at the New Canada Community Center.
