Beverly Joyce Nixon

WINSLOW, ME- Beverly Joyce Nixon, 85, passed away peacefully on December 26th, 2015. Daughter of William and Ida (McCurdy) Gordon, she was born in Gardiner on June 11th, 1930 and was one of 16 siblings. She graduated from Gardiner High School 1950.

She married Robert E. Nixon in April 1952. She was beloved wife, mother, grandmother, nana, and great grandmother to many. She was a member of the Golden Girls workout group and spent countless years traveling watching her children, grandchildrens and great grandchildrens sporting events. She and her husband would travel to Florida every winter to visit their family down south. She especially took pride and joy in her grandchildren and great grandchildren, who affectionately knew her as Nana, Grammie, and Old Nana. Family was her whole world. She is survived by her husband, Robert Nixon; one sister Katherine Patterson of Augusta, Maine, four children, Robert Nixon Jr and Debbie of Winslow, Maine, Janice Souviney and husband Jim of Vassalboro, Maine, Nathan Nixon and his wife Tara of Skowhegan, Maine, William Nixon and his wife Alexandra of Wesley Chapel, FL, five grandchildren, Mystie Grant and her husband Joe of Hyanis, MA, Katie Souviney and fiance Dave Cusano of Wallingford, CT, Nick Souviney and wife Trisha of Winslow, ME, Cody Souviney and wife Katie of China, ME, Nathan Nixon and wife Chantelle of Madison, ME; and seven great grandchildren, Malachi, Gailan, Marin, Cooper, Bethanny, Nixon, and Jaclyn.
