Robert William Davis

Robert William Davis, a resident of Washingtonville, NY, passed away on September 5, 2024 at 67 years old with loved ones by his side. Robert was born on August 20, 1957 in Queens, NY to Robert and Caroline (Janssen) Davis. He was raised in Northvale, NJ and graduated from Northern Valley Regional High School in Bergen County, NJ. He spent a long career in the HVAC fabrication industry as the Lead Purchasing Agent with Mestek, Inc., most recently at the Boyertown, PA foundry facility. After retiring he moved to Washingtonville, NY to be close to family.

Rob’s legacy will be memories of good times full of laughter and the gift of times together with family and friends on cross-country road trips, holidays, skiing outings, beach vacations and long conversations. Rob was an avid, longtime Yankees fan. Rob was a gentleman in the true capacity of the word; he will be missed profoundly by his family and friends. He touched so many lives with his giving nature, caring ways, sentimental heart, helping hand and listening ear. He always put everyone’s else’s needs before his own. To know Rob was to love him.

Rob is survived by his longtime, much-loved partner, Jody Pappas of Wanamassa, NJ; dear brother, Gary and his wife Deborah Davis of Tucson, Arizona; dear sister Beth and her husband George Fitzpatrick of Washingtonville, NY. He was the adored uncle to Sean Fitzpatrick (Godson) and his wife Kristen and their children Rowan and Connor of Westwood, NJ; Meghan Boroden and her husband Travis and their children Aubrielle and Mariska of Goshen, NY; Kyle Fitzpatrick and his wife Larissa of Montgomery, NY and Jaime Davis (Goddaughter) of Cincinnati, Ohio.

He was predeceased by his parents Robert B. and Caroline J. Davis.

A celebration of Rob’s life is being planned locally on a future date. Burial will be private at St. John’s Cemetery in Queens, NY. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in his honor to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital or the American Cancer Society.
