Paul Malanga passed away on July 23 in his home in Selkirk, New York. Born in the Bronx on January 31, 1956 as the fourth of six siblings, Paul was a bit of a troublemaker, but was guaranteed to make everyone laugh. He became a mechanic, owned and ran a Shell station, and later worked for the NYS Thruway Authority and DMV, before retiring in 2017.
Paul married the love of his life, Barbara, in 1986 and moved from Queens to Orange County in 1993. Paul and Barbara had been waiting to be reunited for 14 long years, Barbara having passed away in 2007.
Paul was a beloved dog dad to Keebie, Sandy, Mini, Darla, Buddy, and Dougie and human dad to his daughter, Christina. Known to rock a pair of white New Balance sneakers and blast Pink Floyd, his friends and family will miss his sharp wit and big heart most of all.
A visitation for Paul will be held Sunday, August 15, 2021 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at David T. Ferguson Funeral Home, 20 North Street, Washingtonville, NY 10992.
