Mary "Marie" Coulter of Washingtonville, NY, formerly of Greenpoint, Brooklyn, NY, age 90, entered into rest August 12, 2012 at St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital in Newburgh, NY. Mary was born in Brooklyn, NY on August 23, 1921 to James and Ellen O’Donnell Slevin. Mary was the widow of James E Coulter. Mary was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt affectionately known as Aunt Marie or Nana by everyone who met her. Mary was a member of the Catholic Daughters of the America’s Court Mystical Rose, Ancient Order of Hibernians Div. 6, St. Anthony’s Alter Rosary Society and a Eucharistic Minister at St. Anthony’s Church. Mary is survived by her son, Joseph Coulter of Ringtown, PA; daughters, Ellen Mendofik and her fiance, Paul Prokipchak of Hazleton, PA, and Theresa and her husband, Charles Walters of Washingtonville, NY; a brother, Charles Slavin of Jupiter, FL; son-in-law, Joseph Germano of Brooklyn, NY; 11 grandchildren: Christopher, Caitlin, Meagan, Kelly and Sean Walters, Jason, Jeremy, Evan and Daniel Mendofik, Kyle Prokipchak and Michael Germano; seven great grandchildren, also many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her loving husband, James E. Coulter and her daughter, Mary Germano. Visitation will be on Thursday, August 16, 2012 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the David T. Ferguson Funeral Home, 20 North St., Washingtonville, NY 10992. 845-496-9106. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, August 17, 2012, 10 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church, Washingtonville, NY.
