Gloria F Mauro

Gloria F. Mauro a long time resident of Glendale NY and recent resident of Washingtonville, NY entered into rest on April 18, 2013 at Ramapo Manor Nursing Home. She was 82. Gloria was born in Brooklyn, NY on January 9, 1931 to Harold and Martha Kopf Dischley. Gloria was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and aunt and friend to all. Gloria felt strongly that loving and caring for her not only her family and friends, but for all, was her mission in life. She greatly succeeded with that mission. Gloria has deeply touched all that knew her. In her earlier years, She was a switchboard operator and then a bookkeeper for Eton Silver Fabricators both in Glendale. She was a member of the United Methodist Women’s Division of the United Methodist Church of Glendale, NY. , She loved Baseball and was An Avid NY Mets fan. Gloria always took special care to remember birthdays and special events with a loving, caring and meaningful message in the Hallmark cards that she would send out. She loved her Knick-Knacks especially Hershey and Campbell Soup Collectables. She is survived by son Wayne J. and his wife Helen Mauro of Washingtonville, NY; grandchildren Lee, Nicholas and Samantha; goddaughter and niece Barbara Ann and her husband Glen Cole and their daughters Melissa and Ashley of Andes, NY also survived by many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews and extended family members including Lou and his wife Sherry Felice and their children Thomas, Mark and Anthony, Steve and his wife Linda Paveglio and their daughter Ashley as well as Donna Moller Dischley and her daughter Jessica and other close family friends also her loving dogs Bush, Whitey, Holly and Ashley.

She was predeceased by her Husband Joseph J. her brother Walter Dischley and his wife and her sister in law Anne Dischley and their son and her nephew Walter as well as her step mother Louise Connolly Dischley. Visitation will be on Sunday April 21, 2013 from 3-6PM PM, at the David T. Ferguson Funeral Home, Washingtonville, NY. A Service will be held on Tuesday April 23, 2013, 11AM at the United Methodist Church of Glendale, NY, 66-14 Central Ave Glendale, NY 11385. Burial will follow in Calverton National Cemetery in Calverton, NY
