Fanny M. DeRobertis of Washingtonville, NY entered into rest on November 16, 2013 at Park Manor Nursing Home, Middletown, NY. She was 83. Fanny was born in Astoria, NY on November 30, 1929 to Peter and Alfansina (Vigneri) Galletta. Fanny was the youngest of nine children. She was the widow of Vito J. DeRobertis.
Fanny loved cooking, housekeeping and spending time with her family and friends. She was a bookkeeper for the U.S. Army. She is at peace now, after suffering from a long illness; her essence and her memory live on in the many who survive her, and who will love and miss her until the end of their days. She is survived by her daughters, Marilyn and her husband, Edward Frolich of Stewartsville, NJ, Sandra and her husband, Mickey Hunt of Old Bridge, NJ, Sherry and her husband, Lou Felice of Washingtonville, NY; brothers, Tommy and his wife, Barbara Galletta of New Smyrna Beach, FL; sister, Carmela Taglieri of Merritt Island, FL; grandchildren, Jennifer and her husband, Mike, Joe and his wife, Jackie, Stephen, Danielle, Thomas, Mark and Anthony; great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Michael and Christina as well as many nieces and nephews and her extended family, Wayne and Helen Mauro and their children, Lee, Nick, and Samantha of Washingtonville, NY; Steve and Linda Paveglio and their daughter, Ashley of Goshen, NY as well as the Hunt and Frolich Family and many close friends. Visitation will be held Friday, November 22, 2013 from 9 a.m. at David T. Ferguson Funeral Home, Washingtonville, NY. A Mass of Christian burial will be held Friday, November 22, 2013, 10 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church, Washingtonville, NY.
