Caroline Janssen Davis died peacefully on Friday, January 23, 2015 at Elant of Goshen, NY. She was 92. She lived in Washingtonville, NY for 24 years, and previously in Northvale, NJ. The daughter of the late Frederick and Anna Werlein Janssen, she was born March 4, 1922 in Brooklyn, NY and raised in Ridgewood, Queens, NY. She was the wife of the late Robert Bell Davis. Caroline was a graduate of Our Lady of Wisdom Academy, Ozone Park, NY. She was a 16-year employee for New York Telephone Co., Overseas Department, in New York City. In later years she volunteered at Arden Hill Hospital in Goshen and the religious education program at St. Mary's Church in Washingtonville. Survivors include two sons: Robert W. Davis of Pottstown, PA; and Gary M. Davis and his wife, Deborah, of Ramsey, NJ; one daughter, Beth Fitzpatrick, and her husband, George, of Washingtonville, NY; grandchildren: Sean Fitzpatrick and his wife, Kristen, of Hoboken, NJ; Meghan Boroden and her husband, Travis, of New Hampton, NY; Kyle Fitzpatrick of Washingtonville; and Jaime L. Davis of Ramsey, NJ; and great-granddaughter, Aubrielle Caroline Boroden. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews in Maryland, Ohio, Utah and Virginia. Caroline is predeceased by her brothers: Frederick, John, and Henry Janssen. A Gathering of family and friends will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, January 28th with a service following at 8 p.m. at the David T. Ferguson Funeral Home, 20 North St., Washingtonville, NY.
