Andrew T. McKeon of Washingtonville N.Y. died on October 27, 2018. He was 96 years old. He was predeceased by his loving wife, Jean and brothers, John, James, Richard and Timothy. Andrew was born in New York City on October 24, 1922.
Andrew was a World War II veteran who served from 1942 to 1945 in the Pacific Theatre of the war. He was in the Naval Air Corps, as a member of a combat air crew patrol squadron. He has been awarded the Asiatic-Pacific War Medal, World War II Victory Medal and the good Conduct Medal.
Andrew worked as a supervisor for installation and repair at the New York Telephone Company for 32 years. In that time, he also worked for Bell Laboratory and AT & T Corp. He was employed mostly in Manhattan and the Bronx.
He was a member of the Association of BellTel Retirees, Veteran of Foreign Wars Post # 8691, American Legion Post # 0001 and Knights of Columbus # 5890.
He is survived by daughter Maureen Mazanec of Maybrook, NY, his son Brian of Denver Colorado and son Kevin and daughter-in-law Suzette of Stony Point NY, his daughter Edna and son-in-law Jeff Manzo of Syracuse NY, his daughter Jean Ann Guyt of Washingtonville, NY and daughter Teresa Harrington of Fruitland, MD.
He is also survived by 23 grandchildren, Kenneth, Michael, and Keith Mazanec, Kasey, Reese, Kevin and Mathew McKeon, Jeffery, Thomas and Beth Manzo Kristi, Stephan, Coleen, Kathleen, Eileen, William, Patricia, Allison, MaryEllen, and Julianne Guyt and Sean, Jennifer and Erin Harrington.
He is also survived by 8 great grandchildren Logan, Brandon, Andrew Mazanec, Christian Amendolagine, Madeline McKeon, Sawyer, Keller Manzo and Lane Harrington
Visitation will be Tuesday October 30, 4-8pm at David T Ferguson Funeral Home, 20 North Street, Washingtonville, NY. Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday Oct 31, 10:00 AM at St. Mary’s Church, 42 Goshen Avenue, Washingtonville, NY. Interment at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Washingtonville, NY.
