Patricia Ellen Kraniotis

Pat died on October 31, 2021, in Washington, DC. She was 77. Nee Williams, Pat was born and raised in Seattle, Washington. A truly international soul with both Russian and American roots, Pat traveled extensively after getting her law degree from the University of Washington. She eventually met and married her husband, Kosta, in Greece. The couple later moved to the US and settled in DC, where Pat spent many dedicated years as an attorney for NOAA and the Department of Commerce, specializing in marine law and international trade. A talented artist, she would go on to devote herself to that calling, first independently, then receiving her certificate from Washington Studio School. She was also a great gardener. Pat lost her husband in 2017. She is survived by her daughter, Lydia, brother, George, as well as extended family and friends all over. Her memorial service will be on Saturday, December 11, at 1 p.m. at Joseph Gawler’s Sons, 5130 Wisconsin Ave NW, Washington, DC 20016, followed by a reception at Breadsoda, 2233 Wisconsin Ave NW, Washington, DC 20007.
